Winrock International and Laxmi Sunrise Bank Limited (LSBL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 23, 2026, to promote financial inclusion, financial literacy, and improved access to finance for youth, women, marginalized communities, and entrepreneurs in Nepal.

Under this partnership, the two organizations will facilitate linkages between entrepreneurs and formal financial institutions, support entrepreneurship development, and enhance access to financial services and knowledge that can help individuals and businesses grow.

The collaboration will also explore financing solutions for clean energy technologies and other productive use of energy initiatives, helping enterprises improve productivity, strengthen resilience, and expand economic opportunities.

The MoU reflects a shared commitment to fostering inclusive economic development through greater financial access, entrepreneurship promotion, and capacity-building opportunities. The agreement will remain effective for one year from the date of signing unless extended by mutual consent.
