Business Plan Sharing Program 

Background

PPP for 4Gs program has organized half day Business Plan Sharing Program from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on 23 December 2015 in NCDC, Ilam meeting hall. Positive Planet among four partners initiated leading role of preparing Business Plan for the Solid Waste Management of Ilam Municipality. Dr Bhundi Raj Pathak presented the draft survey report of compost plan design in the first session followed by  Senior Business Development Service Expert Mr Prakash Katwal from Positive Planet shared the Business Plan among all the stakeholders and partners organizations in the second session. Altogether, 33 participants representing Ilam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Green City Women Groups, Tole Level Organizations, Cooperatives, Civil Society, Media, Households Level, Political parties, hotel association and other related organization were participated in the sharing program. The program ended with feedback and suggestions from the participants to restructured the Business Plan in the final draft version.

Objectives of the sharing program

1.       To present Business Plan preliminary draft among stakeholders to gather feedback and suggestions

2.       To disseminate the information about existing solid waste management practice and project approach toward Public Private Partnership model

3.       To realize stakeholders the solid waste generation scenario and the ways forward to sustainable management

SME Identification Workshop

Background

PPP for 4Gs program has organized half day SME Identification Workshop from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on 23 December 2015. Altogether, 20 participants representing from Tea Cooperatives, Agricultural Cooperatives, Saving and Credit Cooperatives, rag pickers, household level and micro finance banks were participated in the workshop. Interaction and discussion from stakeholder point of views were closely remarked for the SME identification process in the near future. Each participants were freely requested to figure out the existing problem and the ways forward to minimize the same. Within the discourse, important suggestions were noted for further usage in the identification processes.

Objectives of the Workshop

1.       To collect general idea about identifying the possible SME for the solid waste management of Ilam Municipality

2.       To figure out the expectation of the stakeholders regarding formation of SME, creating opportunities in the stepwise enterprises

3.       To disseminate the information of Business Plan and compost plan design to extract the ground reality from the stakeholders

Meeting With Ilam Municipality and Other Project Partners

About one and half hours partners meeting was organized by PPP for 4Gs program in Ilam Municipality on 23 December 2015. During the meeting members from implementing partner Ilam Municipality, prime partner Winrock In’l, Positive Planet and local partner NCDC were participated. Discourse, opened with the project updates and upcoming programs to be continued. Discussion on conducting District Project Advisory Meeting was made among the partners and the tentative date was scheduled for 11 & 12 January 2016. Besides, the discussion were made regarding the disaster management equipment for the Ilam Municipality to be handed by Winrock Int’l and Positive Planet.
