Baseline survey is being conducted in Ilam Municipality and survey will cover around 6000 families. Baseline survey will lay the foundation for the design of a sustainable, tailor-made, waste management system for Ilam municipality. The data collected will be segregated by area, type of waste, seasonality, household vs. non-household, and degradable vs. non-degradable. The results of the survey will inform compost plant design, PPP business planning, and behavior change campaign strategies. It will also provide a basis for carbon emissions reduction calculations.
