Nepal is largely an agriculture based country where 80% of the population depends on agriculture for income and employment. However, poor irrigation facilities and access is one of the major reasons for low agricultural productivity in the country. To address this issue, WI-Nepal, with funding from Winrock International innovation program, the project was implemented in coordination with Poverty Allevation Fund (PAF) in PAF Group in Siraha District with the local partner organization, Center for Integrated Rural Community Development, Nepal (CIECOD-Nepal).
