The First National Trade Fair and Workshop on Herbs, Hebal Products and Spices held.
The First National Trade Fair and Workshop on Herbs, Hebal Products and Spices held from 12-14 November 2005 in Nepalgunj was a huge success. A total of 20,000 visitors over the three-day period resulted in on-the-spot sales of non-timber forest products amounting to NRs 1,000,000. Post fair sales are an additional NRs 10, 000,000.
A total of 60 stalls in the fair displayed an assortment of products ranging from baskets to essential oils. Some Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi producers also participated in the event.
