Strengthening Effective Environmental Management in Nepal
A recent report by Winrock International points to the need for better environmental management in Nepal for poverty reduction and growth. This report presents the current status of Nepal's environment as well as current knowledge and activities on climate change mitigation and adaptation. The report also highlights the strong linkages between Nepal's environment and health of its people. A second report by Winrock analyzes Nepal's policy and institutional arrangements for environmental management and highlights options to strengthen environmental impacts assessment process and overall institutional arrangements. These two draft reports were prepared as part of the World Bank's Country Environment Analysis for Nepal and have been made available on this website for review and feedback.
