LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Winrock International works to mobilize a generation of self-confident youth, both men and women, apply knowledge and take responsibility to work together as agents of change to overcome poverty, environmental degradation, food insecurity, gender discrimination, inequality and human rights abuses in their communities and countries. Through the years, Winrock has implemented innovative approaches including scholarship management, various trainings for leadership for change as well as gender training for men and women. Current program focus is primarily on working towards reducing child labor through education and building and strengthening professional women's associations (WPLUS).

The Community Based Innovation to Reduce Child Labor through Education (CIRCLE) project includes CIRCLE I, CIRCLE II and UAC. The project goal is to identify and promote innovative, locally developed and community based pilot projects that successfully address the reduction of child labor through education and to document their Best Practices and replicable aspects.
